Quilt Update

I made it down to the studio (in the basement) for a lot of sewing time this weekend. The goal is to have this quilt finished on Friday for my sisters shower on Saturday. Is that crazy? I have been keeping track of my sewing hours for this quilt because I get a lot of "How long does it take you to make a quilt?" and with my deadline this will give me a good idea for future projects. My ticker tape quilt took about 11 hours all together but that is such a different kind of quilting I am not sure about this one. I put together a few before and after shots of making the blocks.
The idea is to keep the center level with a wonky border.

This shows the white border sewn on.
Then keeping the center level trim white to 11"x14"

I have all of the blocks together now and put them up on the design wall. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the design wall?! It's so great to see them all up there together.

This was a quick put them up on the wall so I need to tweak the arrangement a little. Who am I kidding I'll be moving them around all day tomorrow luckily I need to get them sewn together so that might curb my compulsion. Then it's onto getting it all sandwiched and basted.

Very fun! I like how it's wonky but the centers are straight. Good luck with all the quilting!
