Today I made my first pillow! I have been planning my next quilt which will be made from linen and thought it might be a good idea to work with linen a little first. I am glad I did because I know now it's going to be a little tricky. With just a few little hiccups I made a great pillow. I have decided to enter it in the Sew, Mama, Sew pillow contest if you haven't checked it out there are some great tutorials.
The fabric is scraps I have been saving from Lotta Jansdotter and I will be using them for the quilt as well. I can't wait to get working on it as soon as I do a little more linen research. Any tips are welcome.... or I should say help please send tips!

I almost forgot don't forget to go on over to kootoyoo and see who else is playing this week.

oh, I love linen - that pillow looks fabulous. Good luck with your quilt, sorry I have no tips!
Thank you! I'll post along the way so maybe we'll all learn something.
Love the pillow, it is gorgeous! I love Lotta Jansdotter and the design is great. I have no linen tips but hope to do more linen sewing so please do share whatever you figure out! :)
I think your pillow looks great! I've only sewn with linen a little bit...my only advice is to either zigzag or pink edges so they don't unravel:)
