My New Label

Thanks to my quilt in the Sisters Outdoor Quilt show I finally pulled my label together. Inspired by Rachel's awesome, yes I am really saying that word now thanks to my 10 year old, label that I love. I tracked down the stamp maker she used who actually works very close to my house. Of course he remembered Rachel and we worked out this combination.

I drew the scroll shape which played a big part in my early drawings in college and has a lot of meaning to me. I have a date stamp for date of completion. Then another stamp that I already had to add the title of the quilt which will always change. Right now I am using a dark brown ink which I really like with the linen but I'd like to get a few other colors. I love the process of stamping the label and how it's not perfect.
What do you do for a quilt label?

Be sure to check out all of this great label info at Quilt Class 101!

Oh you are good to do these! I haven't gotten myself organized to make quilt labels, but I really should. What kind of ink are you using so that it is washable?

I love your label! We met in Sisters (I am from the Eugene MQG) and it is so nice to find your space on the web. I look forward to coming back and seeing your makings!
