My Creative Space...

I have had a busy week of working on Nathaniel and Kristi's wedding quilt. There have been times were I feel it's really working and other times when I have to walk away because I feel like it's getting busy. My goal with this quilt was to mix traditional log cabin blocks with some wonky blocks and use an improvisational method to create the layout. I've cropped the photo to show the width of the finished quilt which will be around 84" the length being 96". It's so big! I don't think I've even made a real twin size quilt before so this is huge to me!! When the center panel is complete I'm planning on sashing it with the yellow fabric which has little white and turquoise dots.
It was a huge relief for me when I gave Kristi her mug rug the other day and she really liked all the fabrics I chose Yay!

One week from today I will be on a plane going to the Sewing Summit!!! I am getting so excited if you have thought about going there's still time to register.

There's lots of Creative Spaces to check out here.

Wow, that really is huge - what a big undertaking! The improvisational design is really fun, I really need to try more improvisational piecing :)
