X & + Update!

It's confirmed I am not a speed demon sewer. I tried to get it all together in 2 days but it took roughly 4 which is pretty good for all that piecing and working while the kids were at school.
This is before they were sewn together and I was moving the blocks around. 

Here are a few of my favorite blocks.









This is one that I just couldn't stand,

I made this one last block to replace it.


I'm bringing the finished top and back to Nancy Wednesday and I can't wait to see it quilted. How would you quilt this block?

oh, it's absolutely lovely. each block has so much character, and yet the whole works terrifically together. love it!

This is one of the best scrap quilts I've seen. Your picture makes it look like an encaustic painting. Great use of black.

Thank you! The black is actually navy quilters linen but I love how dark it photographs.
