YAY I have a project in the new issue of Fat Quarterly! I participated in the Designers Challenge and was sent a fat quarter of the Friends print from Woodland Tails by Sherri Berry.
Issue 9 is focused on sewing for and with kids so I wanted to make a little blanket that would be a good first project to make with a new sewer.
I also added something a little tricky for a more advanced sewer the little pieced boarder around the lamb above. The issue is packed with projects and this is the first pattern I've written so I'd love feedback if you buy the issue.
Speaking of sewing for kids I am going to finish my sons quilt this month. It's been so long I don't know if any of you even remember it and I am looking forward to him snuggling with it on his bed.
This is an early draft of the quilt and it's changed some since this photo. I am about half way through piecing the top. I'll give it the proper post it deserves next week first I'm off to Las Vegas today for my cousins wedding. Yes I feel a little crazy with all of this travel but I am so excited for my cousin and I've never been to Las Vegas wish me luck!

Congrats on the pattern! Love the little pieced border.
I hope you have fun at the wedding! The design is very cute, and how exciting to be in FQ!
