Wicked!

Welcome to my Wicked stop on the Wicked Blog Hop
Thank you to Wendy and Madame Samm for being our hosts.

For my block I wanted to use a new to me technique I learned at Sewing Summit from Faith of Fresh Lemons so I have a little tutorial for you.

I had this lovely Guising fabric I had been wanting to use and I  knew it should be something simple to show of the prints.
Starting with a 4 inch square and strips 1 3/4" by 5 1/4" you sew the first strip on but only half way. Sew the rest around the block the way you would a log cabin block.
After you've sewn strips all the way around you will be back to the first strip. Now you can finish sewing the first strip on attaching it to the last strip. It's like magic!
I sewed 4 little blocks together to make a 12 1/2" block. My original plan was to put these together to make a little runner for our breakfast table but when I attached the brown Pearl Bracelet fabric they needed to be pillows. I have some fun sewing before Halloween a runner and two pillows to finish up. I'll be sure to share with you soon!

Don't miss all the other spooky stops they're sure to be scary!

Wickedly Mournful Monday,

22nd of October

Thank you for stopping by! Here's my Ghastlie runner from last year's Blog Hop in case you want to see more spookiness.
